Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This easy tamarind chutney is so good I could drink it. It is super easy and the black salt give it the right funky taste you want. It is great to dip samosa, papadam, and even spring rolls.

Black salt is very cheap and you can get it at most ethnic store or online.

Black Salt

The black salt isn’t necessary but it give it an exotic flavor that makes it authentic. It will still be very good without it.

Black salt is very inexpensive and can be found on Amazon or Indian grocers. Don’t confuse it with Himalayan pink salt!

Enjoy

This is a great chutney to enjoy with your favorite Indian dishes. It is a great dip for your appetizers. It is great to dip samosas in.
