So you bang it on the counter, microwave it, or put it in the food processor or worse you don’t have any
This is your solution, keep molasses in your pantry. You always have white sugar. Right!
Never Buy Brown Sugar Again!!!
DYI Brown sugar is just white sugar and molasses, so just buy molasses.
Here is the deal! Light brown sugar is 1tbsp molasses to 1 cup of sugar and dark brown sugar is 2 tbsp to a cup.

If the recipe calls for brown sugar you can just add white sugar and the proportional amount of molasses.

Make Brown Sugar
No need to buy brown sugar that is going to turn rock hard.
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1-2 tbsp molasses (1 for light 2 for dark)
you can mix the ingredient to make brown sugar but I usually use white sugar then add molasses to the recipe. Much easier!
