About Me

Salt!!!

Wait! What! How is that about you?

It isn’t but it is so important that I started my “about me” page with the word SALT! Learn the many uses and what it does? Brining, texture, moisture and of course seasoning.

Whew! So about me and the blog. I am Chef Mark, a working chef with more years of experience than I like to admit. Cooking is my passion and I have a lot to share.

I hope my blog can give you tips and hacks to make your creations a little bit better. I believe the difference between good food and great food is usually just a few small steps.

About the blog: First you have to know a tiny bit about cooking! Some directions may sound vague to a total beginner. For example I will say “cook it until it is done.” I will give some guidelines but there are so many variables you can’t always say cook it at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

I hope you like the blog and gleam some great ideas. Happy Cooking!!

Stay tuned for my blog within a blog. I will tell you my journey through owning restaurants and starting a blog. It will span from my families twelve restaurants, cooking for Ross Perot, and losing everything… It has been an interesting journey that I wouldn’t change. Well maybe a little☺☺
